Skin: 4 tips to protect your skin from the sun

Yaay! Summer is almost here! Let’s start packing for the beach and the sun. This season makes me so happy and in an excellent mood. Still, sun can be as harmuful as goodful, especially for the skin. Here are some tips that will help you to protect your skin from the sun.

Prepare your skin well before the exhibition

Carrot essential oil is recommended by some naturopaths. It prepares the skin for tanning, accentuates it and instantly gives it radiance. Attention, it does not replace in any case a sunscreen.
Add 5 drops of carrot essential oil in your milk or moisturizing oil for the body as well as a drop in the face cream.

Carrot essential oil is contraindicated in pregnancy, breast-feeding and hypertension. The same applies to people with fragile or allergic skin, who can then take food supplements in general based on selenium, vitamin E and carotenoids, 2 to 3 weeks before the departure on holiday to minimize the aggressive effects.

Do not expose yourself at any time!

Avoid the hottest hours of the day between noon and 4pm. Drink as often as possible to moisturize your body and skin. Beware, the sun is not only associated with holidays, it strikes everywhere, in the sea as in the city. Go for a wide-brimmed hat, clear clothes and glasses.
Never lie down in the sun too long and put cream, even in urban areas.

Choose the sunscreen

A good sunscreen protects against UVB and UVA. The UVA logo and a protection screen (FPS) of at least 6 must be shown on the bottle. This index provides information on the sun’s ability to filter UVB rays – responsible for skin aging.

Put sunscreen every two hours and especially after you have bathed or wiped yourself.

Control your skin and consult

Look regularly at your skin to see if the moles are changing or getting bigger, and note the possible appearance of any other mark. Melanoma screening should be a habit.
