Dandruff: 5 Grandmother’s Remedies

Dandruff can be a big struggle for many people. If you are looking for a way to get rid of them without putting all your money in expensive products that have no great effect, keep reading. Here are 5 old remedies for dandruff.

Lemon

Lemon reduces excess sebum, responsible for the arrival of dandruff. Take a natural yoghurt and mix 5 drops of organic lemon essential oil. Apply this treatment before the shampoo, with a massage of 5 minutes. Rinse with warm water, avoiding the eyes. Use your usual shampoo.

Baking soda

Baking soda can fight dandruff but also clean the hair from residues of gel or lacquer. Add 1 tsp. Coffee of baking soda to the usual shampoo dose. Apply and gently massage your hair for 5 minutes, then rinse.

Lime and Thyme

To benefit from the antidandruff properties of these two aromatic plants, prepare an infusion (of lime or thyme). Once the infusion is ready, use it to rinse your washed hair.

The fine salt

Salt will stimulate the blood circulation of the scalp, and eliminates dandruff. Mix a handful of fine salt in 100 ml of water. Then, rub the scalp with this mixture.

Olive oil and garlic

A formidable treatment against dandruff is to prepare a lotion based on olive oil and a crushed garlic clove. Mix the latter with 65 ml of oil, heat the whole three minutes over low heat without boiling. Once the mixture has cooled, apply it to the scalp in circular movements then cover it with a towel, to allow to rest for about 30 minutes. Then wash your hair with a mild shampoo and rinse thoroughly.
